The FOSMIS-UoR is meant to assist management of the information system of Faculty of Science, University of Ruhuna. Its present version has been designed after a careful assesment of the requirements of the users of the system; namely,

Students
Faculty Board
Dean
Head of depatments
Lecturers
Academic Supportive Staff
Non-academic staff

Users of the FOSMIS-UoR can perform various different tasks. Every user is assigned a user name and a password to log-on to the system. However, for security resons all the user accounts are created by the Dean of the Faculty of Science.

In brief,

A student user can

Register herself in course units (not for subjects). ( Changes are allowed within the specified time limit in the begining of the semester )

View one's own

attendances (daily/percentages),

course units

results/ GPA (real-time)

eligibility for examinations.

and a,
Lecturer can perform following tasks:

View student information

Create and manage courses - including daily attendances

View all released results of the course units offered by the lecturers own department.

Online Documentation for Users:

After log-on to the system entering youor Username and the Password things you can perform in the system are displayed.
