The University of Ruhuna launched its first science journal 'Ruhuna Journal of Science' (RJS) in September 2006, and since then, RJS has been published in print version until 2009. The journal started publishing as an online journal in 2014 (Volume 5). From Volume 6 (2015), the journal will publish two issues per year (June and December).
From Volume 7 (2016) onwards, all articles published in Ruhuna Journal of Science are Open Access articles published under the Creative Commos CC BY-NC 4.0 International licence. This Licence permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited, and is not used for commercial purposes.
